What's there even to sabotage? The company does nothing but lose money and rob the taxpayer. $7,500 federal income tax credit, $2,500 California rebate. That's $10k you've been handing them, per car. That's a marketplace where successful companies are forced to compete against a failed one that is massively subsidized. Tesla can't go out of business soon enough.

There isn't much high tech about an AC-motor, with controller paired with a battery box.

IIRC Teslas, and especially the Roader, were based on the T-Zero tech by AC-propulsion.

That tech itself is by now something a group of undergraduates can implement.

The only thing that is holding EV's back still is the battery tech.
