Dvorak poster here. I have been using dvorak for a few years full time now. My typing speed did not actually improve but it FEELS way nicer. The amount of finger movement is much more limited and I automatically have correct typing form. Compared to qwerty where fingers jump all over the fucking place. One thing that is weird is that I don't actually know where keys are anymore. I just type them. Because I have not been using qwerty except for a small amount my qwerty speed is lower however its still easy to do.
