First of all, that's undefined behavior. In every circumstance compiler decides its own specific outcome. Second of all, you shouldn't care in which order statements on the same line are executed, as they are presumed to be one and whole. And third of all, you have no business on 8chan if your contributions are shit like this, but feel free to shitpost on

where you belong.

I wrote a program where those functions prompts the user for some information. I'd rather prompt for the wholesale cost of an item before prompting for the markup percentage, not the other way around.

And you need to do it on a single line where it can be evaluated in any order as to optimize the speed, because?

Actually nevermind, if your data gathering functions have side-effects you've already fucked up and no amount of common nor arcane wisdom will rectify your retardation.

So I wouldn't have to store the values in variables that don't need to exist.

They already exist and are stored in the same memory with the same lifetime, you dipshit. It's just they're implicit, as in you didn't manually defined them. And how much of a petty faggot do you need to be not to write three fucking lines of code in place of one long-ass line of code no less, and then go and complain about it on the internet?

To sum it up, commit sudoku. Or at least go back to Java or PHP or whereever you came from. You don't belong anywhere near C language.

This is indeed a valid complaint. Common Lisp requires function calls and declarations to be evaluated from left to right and Algol 68 lets them be parallel.

I suspect this is because arguments are pushed onto the stack in reverse order. This makes functions with variable numbers of arguments, like printf, easier to write.

Shame that this board doesn't have IDs but

is 100% correct.
