I think there is a big divide between generations.
>old people don't give a fuck because they do not understand the implications of adopting certain technologies
>young people don't give a fuck because they cannot remember a time when such tech did not exist. Further, they view the time before such tech as being a kind of dark age, and they believe that anything that falls below a certain level of tech is "boring" and/or of limited use.
>Those of us in the middle, who remember the time when the old and new overlapped, are the most critical of new and questionable advancements in tech. We know very well the shortcomings of tech, and where it should and should not be used. We understand the extent to which tech should be trusted and depended on.
This is just a generalization. There will be people who, for whatever reason, fall outside if their range.
