Funnily enough, someone actually said something exactly like this to me when I asked why Thrawn had to be replaced by her and I didn't even say it in a triggering way, I just said that they could've at least had her as one of Thrawn's higher ranking subordinates or a character in the period between the prequels and the OT (this was all before Rebels re-introduced Thrawn). But considering that she has basically taken over his role as main villain in the post-OT stories to the point of becoming grand admiral herself, she is without a doubt his official replacement, much like the Wendig trilogy has seemingly usurped the Zahn trilogy. I mean for fuck's sake just look at her. She's fucking dull as shit compared to the sinister red-eyed alien with evil genius tendencies. I mean, we all probably know that Rebels and maybe Zahn's new novels will be the only things he'll appear in for the sake of EU fan pandering, but he won't ever be a true major player again without stepping on precious princess Sloane's dainty little toes because she has to be completely unstoppable and "a pretty cool gal who doesn't afraid of anything".

Gallius Rax was probably meant to be the ersatz Thrawn rather than her. She doesn't have his tactical acumen or cultivated mannerisms and reminds me more of a hodgepodge of various one-off moffs and warlords in the New Republic Era EU stuff.

She's unquestionably a token, but the archetypal Imperial officer didn't have much of a proud and noble legacy to uphold. There's a difference between how the villains were actually portrayed most of the time and how "Empire Did Nothing Wrong" guys roleplay.

Pictures I don't know, but she gets shown up and shaken in both A New Dawn and that short story where they shoe-horned in Vader for marketing power. I also don't know where you get the idea that Vader's cringing in front of her. There's nothing in his body language that suggests servility; he's a 6'6" easy looking down on a much shorter woman.

She's not a very good character, which is to be expected when Cuck Wingding gets creative control of anything, but I don't think she's especially bad either.

Seriously, a lame concept. Again the EU got it right. Women in the imperial military were the exception, not the norm, even less a fucking Grand Admiral. Daala was the perfect example on how a women had to sleep her way through the ranks. The Empire was not the Republic, it wasn't an open society or regime.

My thoughts exactly. The Expanded Universe is being memory holed the same way older Star Trek had. And cheap can't even give the full meaning of what has happened as there are no new games, books or comics being made by publishers who want to tell a story or try something new everything is being discussed in a committee to maximize profit and the creators are a cabal of SJWs. Disney probably has a final date that they know Star Wars will be dead just like with Star Trek and other western mythos which predominantly white males enjoyed.

The way it all happened so quickly makes me wonder if it was/is an ongoing conspiracy with this intent. Or is it merely cannibalism as the West falls apart?

What bothers me is that Disney either has to have her defeated, which will hold 0 catharsis, as she doesn't have any villainous traits, or they have to make her turn face at some point.

Just imagine Tarkin getting angry that the Rebels got away, pointing fingers, threatening that Vader will be bringing the reckoning. Now imagine Sloane doing the same thing. Doesn't hold nearly as much punch, does it?
