People who criticized the prequels for being too CGI will unironically defend all these sterile digital environments. Every starship is digital that it looks more like a trailer for a video game than a movie. The tiny island goes to the opposite extreme of looking too normal, at least to me since I live somewhere that has identical terrain. Maybe I'm just nitpicking with the visuals but we should expect better from a movie with the Star Wars brand a 2017 budget.

The plot sounds terrible. Wasn't the whole point of the original trilogy to bring back the Jedi? I mean we all saw a movie called Return of the Jedi where the Jedi returned, and now Luke wants the Jedi to not return. What was the point of Ben and Yoda going through all that effort just for their prodigy to throw in the towel a few years after completing his training?
