Did you buy the Rouge One DLC? Me neither.

Well you better buy the new Star Wars: Battlefront because it's the second one.

note: if you pre-order you'll get Star Wars: The Last Jedi Heroes

>muh female pilot

i'm not 100% but i'm certain female combat pilots literally did not exist in the empire. shuttle and cargo pilots yeah, but not combat. it's not that they weren't allowed to do it, they just didn't meet the requirements.

Have you forgotten TIE Bomber-chan?

But seriously, what "requirements?"

Hell, wasn't one of the qualifiers for getting a better TIE variant SURVIVING a certain number of combat missions?

 No.1817>>1829

I was never interested in BEAttlefront regardless of its quality because it lacked a single-player campaign. I'm honestly interested in this one, albeit most likely not as a new game purchase, if that's corrected. That and/or expanding the scope of the game beyond OT nostalgia and Disney Trilogy shilling.

>>1805

There were some EU authors who tried to play up the Empire = Nazi Germany symbolism far too hard who described it as being a male chauvinist institution, but not all of the writers took it serious. I'm pretty sure the commander of the TIE interceptor squadron in the Rogue Squadron games and maybe one of the X-Wing novels was a woman.

Since 1976 George said there were female Stormtroopers.

Stormtroopers aren't pilots

As much as I love that video it doesn't count.

Okay, so one or two cases. Like fem storm, an incredibly rare sight.

DLC for the new movie that will allow you to play as Old Luke and Nu Vader.

So was that story about the female protagonist mandate true?

If two movies and a direct quote from kennedy didn't prove it already, I'd say yes.

She looks better irl than virtual.

Feels like a damage control effort or an apology.

>More space combat.

>An Empire-centric single player campaign spanning two eras just like Pandemic's Battlefront 2. It's like poetry, it rhymes.

>No season pass, but still day 1 DLC

>Classes with special abilities

>Heroes playable during campaigns

Still won't manage to have half the content that the old series brought with each new installment. At this point just trying to recapture what came before.

 No.1842>>1844

>No season pass,

I still don't believe that. I bet EA is gonna do some scumbag-y shit like not earning EXP on maps you don't pay for.

 No.1844

>damage control

That's exactly what it is, they know they fucked up with the first one and are attempting to salvage this one, I've seen a lot of people shitting all over this on normiebook, which is good.

>>1842

My guess is they'll do free characters and modes but make you pay for map packs, just literally no season pass option.

This.

It's how they're going to pull in the goys for round 2. Make you think its like Battlefront 2 Hawaiian boogaloo but really its I just can't even simulator at least be happy they havn't thrown in a gay romance yet or sex changes.

Do you think SJWs have bounds? The entire games media has no dissenting voices, it's all here's how you can pre-order.

I'm very interested.

Sounds like the original Battlefront 2 campaign.

this maybe

>"I find it really interesting, when I first stepped into this job, I started looking at, what does it mean to be a female hero?" Kennedy said at the Rogue One press junket. "And when you look at it in this industry, it's pretty shocking."

>The executive noticed as she looked around film that many female heroes, especially in action films, were mostly just male characters in everything but gender, and that's something she's working to combat in Star Wars.

>"I think the character of Rey, the character of Jyn, these are empowered women that are not necessarily just taking on male characteristics. These are genuinely female heroines. I think that's really important, and I think it will make a difference."

>"all eras"

>just Maul and Yoda

I predict all the prequel stuff is confined to hero battle minigames. The actual multiplayer content will probably be Hoth and Endor along with one or two Disney Wars maps to save time on faction balance because Rebels-Resistance and Empire-First Order use the same units and weapons.

The singleplayer campaign will be approximately three or four hours of the bloodstripe TIE Pilot commando woman of color going on a short mission of self-rediscovery, culminating in her successfully capturing Luke Skywalker before deciding he's the good guy after all.

No clones. No droids. No ground-to-air combat. Vehicles still on rails. No prequel music or visuals apart from maybe Mustafar if they want to resell some Rogue One DLC. They probably won't even make an Empire Strikes Back skin for Luke on Hoth.

The playerbase will drop off a cliff after the first week, climb back up for some pre-Episode 8 cash in DLC, then drop a second time and never come back.

The worst part of all is that EA have made the nu-Star Wars universe look and feel like one big Mass Effect rip off with a couple of branding visual cues.

 No.1856

>>1854

>were mostly just male characters in everything but gender

the best part is that's the only proper way to make a female action hero, because otherwise it would be shitty.

>I predict all the prequel stuff is confined to hero battle minigames. The actual multiplayer content will probably be Hoth and Endor along with one or two Disney Wars maps to save time on faction balance because Rebels-Resistance and Empire-First Order use the same units and weapons.

No doubt we'll get a lot of the same maps from beattlefront.

>The singleplayer campaign will be approximately three or four hours of the bloodstripe TIE Pilot commando woman of color going on a short mission of self-rediscovery, culminating in her successfully capturing Luke Skywalker before deciding he's the good guy after all.

Apparently it's supposed to go up to like the farce awakens, but we won't know until more info is revealed. i can't say i even give a shit.

>No clones. No droids. No ground-to-air combat. Vehicles still on rails. No prequel music or visuals apart from maybe Mustafar if they want to resell some Rogue One DLC. They probably won't even make an Empire Strikes Back skin for Luke on Hoth.

Two things: a screenshot showing a droid model is out there, and they did a hoth luke in the first game, so at the very least we'll get those and clones. there's also concept art of a kamino map, and the darth maul/yoda bit in the trailer is in the theed generator.

>The playerbase will drop off a cliff after the first week, climb back up for some pre-Episode 8 cash in DLC, then drop a second time and never come back.

Yeah sounds about right.

>The worst part of all is that EA have made the nu-Star Wars universe look and feel like one big Mass Effect rip off with a couple of branding visual cues.

And this is why I don't like disney star wars, nothing in their films apart from OT shit looks or feels like star wars. the new planets are shit, the new ships and characters are shit, and the new designs in general are shit. rogue one was a bit of a step in the right direction, but they still half-assed it there with muh middle east and trump political allegories.

You can't possibly win with Feminists because using "critical theory" or whatever the academic euphemism is they perpetually shift the goalposts. If a female protagonist is classically feminine, then she's a fragile stereotype who requires men to be successful. If she's actually powerful and independent, but doesn't act like an insecure mental case with an axe to grind against masculinity, then she's a "man with tits."

Feminists can't agree on what the liberated New Woman should act or look like, and it's immediately obvious despite any efforts to hide evidence of internal fracture and present the front of a united sisterhood (unless white women criticize non-white women).

 No.1874

>>1868

Critical theory is Marxist. Most feminists nowadays are following post-structuralists and postmodernists like Foucault who were largely anti-Marxist. For them, language is just an assertion of power. It doesn't matter if they don't make sense or contradict themselves, as long as they're pushing forward their assertions into the public consciousness. They neither care for nor believe in "truth" as a concept.

 No.1891

>>1805

Actually there were more female TIE pilots than men, with men making up the bulk of Stormtroopers. 181st also had a fair number of them. Saying there isn't any is Disney Garbage trying to slander the Empire.
