>the Darth Vader can't use force lightning meme

Where did this meme come from exactly, and how is he unable to use force lightning?

I don't believe there would be electrical interference with his life support systems that is complete bullshit if it were the case then anyone shooting lightning out of their hands would kill himself.

I just get so mad when people make up stuff like this like umm for instance when people say the Emperor made Darth Vader's suit shitty on purpose to torment him. Where exactly in the films did you get that idea from? Because if anything his suit is state of the art the best technology you know why? Because his organs aren't failing like with General Grievous. See he was like the "prototype Vader" and the technology has been perfected which is how he's been kept alive for so fucking long without coughing up what's left of his lungs. Christ, Star Wars fans are dumb and make up completely retarded shit with no proof. Show me in the films where you formed your stupid ideas or quotes from George or LucasFilm somebody and not EU bullshit that's all fake and has nothing to do with the films.

So there's like some scenes where they show them making lightsabers by levitating the parts? That's non-canon shit and you don't need the force to make a lightsaber, they're not magic THEY'RE TECHNOLOGY. Luke builds one in a cave with some kinda screwdriver thing he's just sitting there assembling the pieces yeah it's a deleted scene but a deleted scene is more canon than some fucking cartoon show i mean I'm talking about actual footage of the real movies here god damn.

So how do you guys feel about this? I mean umm back to the force lighting thing. That was like the Emperor's ultimate secret power I mean holy shit magic powers like that were amazing before the video game generation where everoyne is a level 20 mage summoning meteors from space. You just don't get it. Then the prequels came along and lighting is like this level 2 sith power. I don't think uhh Vader was physically unable to use force lightining it's bullshit man it's just EU lies and losing his limbs doesn't weaken your force sensitivity either it's a spiritual thing not physical gee golly i really hate everyones guts so much i bet none of you even know who trevor jones is DO NOT GOOGLE HIM TO PROVE A POINT

It's just a rationale that LucasFilm employees shrugged and nodded to shut people up whenever they wanted to know why Darth Vader couldn't pull off weeaboo fightan magic superpower stunts like other EU Force-users because then they'd have to explain why he fought like a kendo action figure in the movies instead of using Force Frostbolt rank 5.

Ever since the reboot, though, he's been throwing AT-AT legs, dashing at mach speed through corridors while iai-slashing Twi'leks, and using telekinetic chokes on multiple suckers at once. I wouldn't be too surprised if he didn't focus his hatred in the Rebels finale and use lightning too with the tepid narrative save of having it exhaust him or something.

>run-on sentences galore

you're a special kind of retard alright, why don't you go to a more kid-friendly place like r/starwars

 No.1183>>1188

>>1179 (OP)

He doesn't have hands that's why.

The real issue is they never gave the Emperor any other special powers besides force lightning, that was a huge missed opportunity for the prequels.

George just hadn't thought of using space magic to shoot lightning at people when he was doing the first two movies and only added it in Return of the Jedi to give Palpatine a more visually interesting technique for his fight scene. I think the in-universe reasoning is sound. The separation of fighting styles also makes the characters more distinct as individuals and perhaps plays into Luke picking up his father's strangling technique without needing to be trained to do it.

I think the writers should try to avoid giving all Sith the exact same power set. They need to personalize them more, but without going too crazy like Kylo Ren stopping lasers in mid air because that just raises more questions about why other people don't do that.

Actually by that scene, Jerjerrod actor gave one of the best acting in the movie.

dark side powers tend to take a lot of hate and agony to be able to use, going by the darth bane books, you couldn't just shoot lightning, you had to have the fire rise within you.

i've sat through 9 minutes so far and nothing. where does vader use lightning? i also haven't played tfu2 since release, i think i might reinstall that.

why are you bitching about something that's completely possible? it looks edgy, yeah, but it isn't defying the laws of physics or anything.

>>1215

tbh i don't remember the later kamino levels looking anything like this, but as i said before i haven't touched tfu2 since release, and that was on the wii, the levels might be different on other consoles. also, i don't think that was vader using lightning, more like he used his suit as a superconductor for the shit going on around and focused it into an attack.

I disagree because Dave Filoni was able to slap together an excuse for the Inquisitors to Yoshimitsu around by claiming the hilts contain portable repulsorlift engines. It begs why they never did it before, but it's a fantastic explanation for device which already routinely requires suspension of straightforward engineering logic.

Reverse grips, meanwhile, make no sense in terms of the biomechanics of movement in swordsmanship. They're something promoted as a distinguishing style by entertainers that offer nothing but obstacles in the use of the weapon. Holding a sword or a knife upside down is the melee equivalent of tilting pistols sideways gangster style.
