In the monster girl 2020 thread some writefag wrote a story about a Hakutaku that really wanted to be able to give birth to sons. She eventually found out a way with her husband’s help.

I remember reading a manga about a human boy with a monster mom, he gets spiritually aware and can see things humans shouldn't normally see as a result. I don't remember what it's called.

Also to consider is that monsters need not necessarily carry just one baby to term. Some monsters can lay eggs as a brood, some monsters (eg Kamitachi) give birth to litters, some monsters breed explosively and interbreed with related males(devil bugs, rats), some monsters don't even need sex to breed (eg slime). When you consider all these factors, a serious male to female ratio discrepancy WILL appear. In these cases, harems may become more practical than monogamy. Examples of this exist in several modern day animals that have greater difficulty concieving and birthing males, or in cases where very few males survive to maturity

Being more disposable than woman is the reality of being a man, live with it. And different groups of humans fighting will happen regardless of gender ratio. Women are far from the only resource to fight over, to say nothing of the many other reasons wars are fought. Even then, in a society that is fairly strictly monogamous, a 1;1 gender ratio will ensure most everybody finds a partner.

Haremfaggotry does not make for a very stable society. Monogamy is enforced for reasons more than just there being a 1:1 ratio of females and males. And having far more women than men, even if they are mamono, has other societal impacts that could be harmful.

Yes, but I see such a thing as unlikely to begin with. Wars over women are hardly fought anymore, with perhaps the slight exception of the middle east, and even that is but a single factor among many.

Consider also that in most cultures, men are important for carrying on the family name, among other responsibilities, duties, and honors bestowed solely to men. Having a sudden shortage of boys being born can lead to cultural and political problems that may escalate to crises. And that men suddenly becoming more valuable sexually could lead to social changes many here would find abhorrent, which I hope I would not have to elaborate on.

Yes monogamy is better for humanity, but it took religion and the government to enforce monogamy and even then people still cheated and people make harems. I've always imagined that the sort of "apex predator" species of MG (hellhounds, manticores, ushi-oni, etc.) would be extremely protective of their sons, and probably particularly distrustful of other monsters, as their nature makes them well aware of the danger a monster can pose to a boy.
