If you do have to hire someone then make sure they have similar mind set to you. A paladindu will not hesitate to use cockblock smite, but a fellow wizard who too wants to get into necromancy will be more open minded.

First off, apply a book with great momentum to the head of your apprentice for not consulting the deal with you first and do so even harder if she signed a contract. The deal sounds nice on paper but only weak little shits need to ask demons/magical entities for help to get more powerful. For now take the apprentice an get her ass to start getting those level gains through the normal murderhobo ways. On top of that if word gets out that you helped her then you will most certainly have issues with paladindus and even possibly the twink, which will become a pain in the ass. Especially if goddess chosen snowflakes start targeting you non-stop. Besides why upset Karen with news of you working with demons? Don't forget to work on those necromancy spells, you have a certain goal after all.

if she is supplying house, minions and research supplies, why not just take out the boring paladin. It fits the alignment perfectly

The other Valkyrie will probably be attached to aster. We should check on our apprentice to make sure aster doesnt die and we successfully capture him. If the Valkyrie is not with him we can use aster as bait to lure her to us. Then once we capture her we can begin corrupting them both.

A true villain can convince anyone to join him. The answer is simple. We threaten to kill aster if she doesn't surrender. We want him alive but she doesn't know this. Since we tried to kill him once we can use that as leverage. "He will not survive this time." Or something like that.

"Revive", mind you. I wonder if it's too late to resuscitate the dead valkyrie's body as an unliving? Could make a great insider agent, even if they don't have a soul, and probably can't naturally heal.

Also, wouldn't the death by partial petrification create half-golemic undead? Would be neat, it'd give them some amount of defense.

<Karen is useful for making an alibi since she'll vouch for you, but the apprentice is in sore need of help and closure to the situation.

I suppose it'd be better to reanimate the dead valkyrie than to make an unliving because one has a (trapped) soul, and doesn't need to be constantly told to be more compassionate than a brick.
