Hey /monster/, lately I've been thinking 'bout the first time I ever really thought of and about monster girls, when I was a tender lonely young lad, just entering puberty. Even if I didn't have a name for mamono at the time, I would think about how cool it would be to romance a lonely ghost girl or fuck an ara elf. I even wrote some erotic short stories (which my parents found and shredded, of course).

So after thinking about all this, I want to ask what your first experiences, encounters or fantasies with monster girls were, whether in your imagination or in media.

The one monster girl from my childhood that I definitely remember was Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist. Not sure whether or not I thought of anything sexual at the time, but thought she was pretty cool.

If we're counting full-bodied cyborgs as monster girls, then Motoko Kusanagi as well.

Angewomon/Ladydevimon. I was surprisingly immune to the furry stuff that was on the show/games. That, or I somehow sacrificed other children's innocence to preserve my own. Some of the people I've looked up from my childhood are people who look like a furry stereotype.

mg's are built right into our culture, so it's hard to point to the exact moment. Just about any disney animation has a monster in it. Moiraine in Eye of the World left a notable impression even if the story was beyond me at the time. The movie Species as well.

Personally, I require a natural balance in my headcanon. If things are too perfect, then I can't enjoy it because something in the back of my head is constantly telling me it's wrong. For me, when the portals open it will be a tense time. Religions will undergo times of uncertainty and instability. Monstergirls will not speak out language, leading to a several year period where regular contact at the general population level will be at a minimum I do, however, love the idea of forming a relationship with a monstergirl trying to learn English, where half the time we're expressing our desires not through words but actions. Once things stabilize, monstergirls will be just as prone to the faults of 3Ds as anyone else, but perhaps there's a strong cultural influence they've brought that wards this off for the most part.

I was too young to even understand boners but some to the sprites from sotn left an impression i'm sure. I didn't rediscover mamono until I opted to play through mgq to see what all the hora memes were about. Three days and one daki later it was clear there's no getting off this ride.
