I think amazons fought with/against men in the past before so I think it would not be too much of a problem for them in general; although, if amazons were isolated for a long time and they were not fighting for quite a while than I would assume that they would be more hesitant. I however, was referring more to the fact that war has changed to the point it is unrecognizable to the amazons, that war is no longer as seen as glorious, that millions can die in a short span of time in war, that in many cases that weapons of mass destruction has made conventional warfare obsolete/nonviable. Again fighting against a modern army, even a small third world one in Africa or Eastern Europe would be near impossible to win against. I doubt they would have any ways of fighting against a plane, helicopter, artillery, fire based weapon, or chemical weapons even with Ares and the other gods at their side.
