i have seen videos of octopi trying to walk on land, and they don't seem to good at it.

I know they can "crawl" around on land.

I've considered that. Of all places, I came up with the idea that they were kin to the Great Priest in a /human/ thread. Naturally, this also links them to the Audient Void, though distantly enough that they do not serve it. I have it in mind that they are masters of sea-based magic and mind-altering potionmaking, enough to use any body of water on the planet as a two-way mirror or megaphone with preparation; in keeping with your statement, they can also unleash the full force of their nature and grow to titanic size (though this quickly wears them out). They command the lesser sea creatures and mamono through their birthright, though they don't get along well with mermaids.

Don't anger a Kraken. You might as well anger the sea itself.
