That's not going to end well for them.
Give about a hundred soldiers some bows/crossbows and you can take about a quarter of the army out before they even got ladders up.

Anyhow, I'll make a map. Wonder if I should do Czernothor (icy tundra filled to the brim with undead to the point where the snow and winds themselves can be haunted) or Jabalnour (vast enigmatic desert with eerie crypts and reality-defying library).

The one of the main focal points of the story is the failings of an absolute monarchy backed by a state religion, with the main character being the a direct descendant of the original founder. But it being a republic, this gives him no power or status, only a drive to surpass his ancestors.
The story takes place five hundred years after the demon lord won the war between the Order and the Demon realms, and the Republic was founded by a group that stole ships from the Demon Lord's fleet and fled east across the sea. Now the Republic is in full swing of an industrial revolution and there is talk of a heavily armed expedition back to the main continent.
The only problem is i'm trying to figure where the Republic should land first.

It's still polite to this day you retard. No one who is actually interested in a thread's topic wants to see the thread being bumped to page one with a post about warhammer 40k spacemarine lore or a meta topic in a thread about slime girls.
>4chan
This alone states that you aren't from here, but this place isn't cuckchan, we treat things differently, and if you were here for more than a week you would know this. If you think that offtopic saging still isn't used, ask the meta thread yourself, you new nigger.

You are kinda forced to have a "NotEurope" map if you want European looking people in a Fantasy Setting based on elements of European History, as the environment dictated how the people dressed and developed.

I've been thinking of a setting which involves small-medium sized island with natural harbor that houses either houses neutral trade hub or is located near isolationist empire and is only place where outside merchants can arrange trade with the said empire.
How big should Island be? How big can natural harbor realistically be? Would it make sense that the island barely grows anything and has to import nearly all the food?

More like mid 15th century, really. And to be honest, when my friends and I originally needed a map for our D&D campaigns (which the one posted here is based off of), we just decided to rip off a map of Europe, rename it Euroth, and boom. Hell, the planet is literally called "Irth"!

Work in progress, still need the various kingdoms, cities, and various labeling. But How's about you rate my map? I'm trying to make an MGE compliant map for fellow fanfic writers since we were never given one
I used the USA as a base for western mainland instead of europe because I liked the shape, and needed a whole continent separate from the Mist Continent and Zipangu

You couldn't call them something else, or does every culture just call them something different?
Good job on the natural borders tho, just remember it doesn't always have to be rivers splitting the realms, mountains can work as well
