You have your monsters, which are for hug, fug, and family. then you have your abominations, which need purging. yesterday.

Since abominations != monsters you can at least remove the abominations without worrying about hurting the monsters. Alternatively, if you don't want the danger of killing things then have adventures where you're traveling. Maybe you're discovering a random part of the world you didn't know about and are camping in these spots for a few days. Sky's the limit really.

I usually entertain the possibility of DOTR becoming a reality after a world-changing event with negative consequences that somehow triggers the arrival of monstergirls into our world, as a part of the world's counterbalance to combat back the aftermath of the said event.

I'll give a example

That way you would have your pure-hearted MG waifu but also go on adventures and battle monsters as well as putting a end to the source of hate.

It isn't a perfect solution to your question though, OP. I think I can see a few problems with my headcanon story.

Use your beast slayer abilities to rescue the gentle loving pure-hearted monster girls from the more ancient and feral versions of their species preventing them from venturing out into the world to find human love.

Why not? Think about Rune Factory, Atelier, Recettear or even Monster Hunter. Just because you go on adventures doesn't mean you can't have a nice, cozy home waiting for you.
