>Are you the most historically knowledgeable person in your peers group?
Well, I'm going to display some bit of hubris and say no. However, I'm further along in my reading than my peers. Most just give up after high school and never bother to read into history. I find it odd that people want to stop looking into history after being given the absolute bare minimum that history has to offer. It seems like we have the same issue regarding the our likes about history. Most people don't find it interesting and any conversation about WW2 ends at Hitler bad, Japan bad. America won. Soviets now bad. Most people don't even know about WW1...Which is rather sad..

Well, I mean, ultimately for all the shit we give, I feel people are drawn into that ideology because their good nature is being manipulated. I can absolutely see how people could think the economic aspect might work, if somehow everyone were on the same page. It's when you start applying marxist ideology to every facet of society that you start creating loons like the one I posted last night, who have no love for their fellow man.
d21eb0 No.15922
>>15921
>>15921
I could see that.
I always considered Communism as the centralization of power and those smart enough to manipulate people use communist as a crutch to get to that position. But in essence you really don't want Communist in your country. They start schisms and rifts in the social fabric of that society until it decays. America is a prime example. Communist got into schools and they held those positions for a really long time without any sort of checks. Thus, our schools became the epicenters of the enlightenment of social issues. Whether they exist or not. Generally, they've never won a war and every time they did win one it was a colossal disaster. China, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Russia(they didn't really win that war they just got lucky) were complete disasters. Winds up that people prefer fascism to Communism. The Greek civil war, the Spanish Civil war and lord knows how many south American revolutions that flopped quickly. For the most part the fascist and the right won those wars. The antifa are peculiar people. They're an amalgam of various people that think the course of history is going to be towards the left and of course, fascism is the enemy if they squash fascism then it's a straight shot to powerful political positions and no one to oppose you. So, they're very useful puppets to communist.

So is it just a rejection of the notion of civilization being a cyclical thing? Because when I've talked to a lefty friend of mine about how, "No, societies have tried that kind of thing before, and it's never really worked out for much of anyone.", the response is usually something like, "It'll be different this time, because X", or, "We're a lot more intelligent/enlightened now."
d21eb0 No.15927
>>15925
>So is it just a rejection of the notion of civilization being a cyclical thing
Not cyclical per se. More centered towards dictators. Rome and are excellent examples to draw from if you want to see any parallels. Society always tends to gravitate back to some form of dictatorship. Communism and Fascism are just two sides of the same coin. One just happens to be left leaning while the other happens to be right leaning. People just prefer the right side of the coin.
>No, societies have tried that kind of thing before
That would ignore fundamental human nature. Eventually someone will get into power that will be consumed by that power. The lust of power is all to alluring for man and thus it falls. Again you can harken back to Rome can you can draw endless examples from there. So, if he happens to say "No society has actually tried that before". Simply just mention Hegelian Dialectic and quote Sir Acton and say absolute power corrupts.
communism in theory -can- work. But we have to assume that people are automatons and they'll all function properly under such a grand and ideal system.

>Why not you?
because i'm loyal and because it's cold.

Crikey. I found the wild and rare Trap Waifu of Pureness. The difference between these creatures and other traps is that they're loyal to their senpai and are not sluts.
CRIKEY. You got to becareful with these rare and delicate creatures so you REALLY don't want to be abusing their butthole~!
