For Unity you can use the free addon Fungus to make VN type games. No coding needed.

I like it since you can basically add in on top of a regular game, say you want to make a jump and run and add visual novel style conversation.

You basically can use the hole power of unity.

For python there is RenPy.

You also need very little coding experience unless you want to include complex stuff into your games. Some simple if else statements should get you pretty far.

I'd say the hard part is the drawing. Though there are more and more games with 3d characters most of them look just terrible. And don't get me started on shitty gameplay. Just try Incest Story, it's the culmination of everything bad in this genre.

If you're trying to combine our powers to make a game, you're going to regret it. Mostly because you shouldn't trust the ass hats here.

I haven't thought about it, but i think you're right. Incest porn videos are 95% crap since it relies so much on acting and producers don't get that what most people want is greater intimacy between a mature woman and a guy or between people of the same age instead of just "mommy wants you cock" and blackmailing. Same way literature works. The characters exists in their own universe and they don't have enough fidelity that our brain rejects the entire premise entirely.

This only applies to badly acted, over technical porn production I think. Amateur stuff gets a pass sometimes and by amateur I mean stuff filmed with handcams or phones.
