On the surface it looks like a Slenderman-clone ARG, but the CGI is beyond indie film standards. The queer blog is even more unsettling. There are no ads and all media is available for download in multiple formats. The blog encourages sharing.

If one visits the website, watches the videos, listens to the audio files, and reads the blog posts a narrative emerges:

- Supposedly anyone performing a particular ritual summons a demonic entity and, with the proper precautions, can command it.

- The ritual varies from video to video, but only a select few (amateur porn clips) appear to be successful.

- Several series of seemingly unrelated video and audio diaries document hauntings and exorcisms referencing vaguely familiar rituals and practices.

- Two theories emerge across a mountain of vlogs and podcasts involving a cult and a haunted mp4 file.

- The site's main blog hints at some sort of active investigation, but the "about" page claims the website is merely an archive and nothing more.

In reality, the demon makes the rituals up as a joke and creates new variants every few years. The symbols and gibberish incantations act as advertising to lure visitors to the website. Thanks to his enhanced presence power, the demon can eavesdrop and toy with visitors even after they've closed the tab. The demon watches and listens to his visitors for days before delivering a performance customized to their "tastes". Once a target is primed the demon joins them IRL. If a visitor to the site begins to unravel the truth, the demon drags their paralyzed body into his refuge. The demon records his encounters and uploads edited versions years later as "new content".

When these verses have been spoken, Dementation appears. Dementation appears to be a completely ordinary man anywhere between 25 and 35, although the specifics change between manifestations.

If the invoker has prepared a circle of the specific mixture of dust, then Dementation will appear within the circle, bound until the invoker speaks the target's name and breaks the circle, at which point Dementation disappears to torment the target.

If there is no circle, or if the ratios of the components are not within a certain margin of error, then Dementation appears, smiles, and then violently kills the invoker. What is left of the invoker is strewn about the area, which only helps to spread the verses farther as the local media reports on the killing.

Those targeted during a properly done invocation find themselves tormented by hallucinations and paranoia, convinced that they are being gangstalked. This lasts until the target commits suicide or dies via mishap.

Bump for Halloween spooks. My goal as a spoop would to become an urban legend like fleshgaits, so I want to be unique from the other spoops as I spread fear throughout the land.
