Magic: This would be my second choice. All things considered, this is my favorite choice as I like the idea of working with the unknown, which is why “Spirits” is my third choice. Of the options, this one seems to be the most underrated as while yes, it does take time to get up running, anyone who has read “Conan the Barbarian” knows that this is probably the one of the most powerful and definitely the most versatile in the list. Hell, now that I think about it, A Song of Ice and Fire also relied on a lot of ritual magic too, so I'm rather surprised no one truly consider the possibilities. Too keep things short, the beauty of this particular power is that you could theoretically rule the entire planet like a god and no one would be the wiser. The best part is that unlike the super-scientist, you aren't limited to conventional physics so your spells may very well transcend space-time. Is it your 88,000th birthday and someone in the Andromeda galaxy pissing you off? Do a ritual, and that cunt will die the exact instant you cast it. Donald Trump pissing you off? Do a chant and dance in a circle and have that fucker struck by lightening. Are you bored and want to sink India? Aim higher: Sink all of Eurasia! Who will miss it? Tired of dealing with kids? Make every fertile womb fly out of every woman on the planet like a cheery parade of greasy red balloons! The only limit is that you can only have twelve rituals going on at once, just have one for your immortality and you have eleven ways to rule the planet as you see fit. The only reason why I'm not picking this is A.) As of late, I'm more into Sci-fi than Fantasy. B.) This option doesn't say anything about increasing my intelligence and while I don't think I'm by any means dumb, I'm worried I may not unlock my true magical potential or get killed trying. Even worse, what if I blow accidentally blow up the Earth? How awkward would that be? C.) I can't teach my magical abilities to anyone. Which means no matter what I do, if any disaster happens on the Earth, I'm going to feel responsible since I clearly have the ability to stop. Yeah, I want to be powerful and all, but I don't want to shoulder that kind of burden when I have it. Now that I think about it, I wonder if this is why most religions have celestial bureaucracies?
Super Science: And this is my choice, to be some sort of comparatively benevolent Lex Luthor. Well, at least comparatively. First, I plan on studying and get rich of my minor inventions. After that, I'll educate myself further and make myself a huge asset to the US government while I'll develop methods for immortality. Whatever my options are, I'm going to choose something that leaves more ambulatory than Mr. House from Fallout New Vegas. If I accomplish that, I'm going to focus my efforts on terraforming planets and try to get our collective asses to space in the most comfortable fashion possible. Once we get people in space, I'll work on warp technology and try get our species out as far as reasonably possible. Hopefully, we can meet up with a form of intelligent that will either A.) Be intelligent enough to be worthy allies/friends B.) Have enough potential to be worth uplifting to either be seen as peers or at least a servant race like dogs are.
All this has the end goal of our kind and other intelligent life not easily being eliminated by any particular event all while learning all of what the universe has to offer us.
