Why do most cuteboys dress like a 14-y old weeb? I mean the striped socks, cheap plaid skirts, "corset" hoodies etc? It's rather overused semi-emo aesthetic and I don't really get how people still like that. And I can't shake off the weeb vibe it gives off.

Do people still enjoy that style or is it just because it's simple and easy to get into, and once you have a bunch of clothes and accessories in that style you can just swap them freely? I'd like to see /cb/s dressing in some "casual" female clothes and clothes that are actually in now. I guess that there are some people here that like some lolita styles tho. I just want fashionable cuteboys dangit.

And many of you would be actually passable, but the emo look is often a dead giveaway. And I'd be happy to give some hints and tricks about clothing, how to highlight certain areas like the waist or the hips, or how to get shoulders appear smaller. If there anyone wants some hints, I'd be happy to help.

>Why do most cuteboys dress like a 14-y old weeb?

Because most "cuteboys" are 14 year old weebs.

This.

But also, the "in" looks rn are mostly garbage.

2006 excessive emo look beats the shit out of the boring nowadays stuff. Kandi Scene kid ravers over whatever the fuck is going now. I'm probably on the cutting edge of current fashion because I dress like a fucking stoner chump.

 No.346770

> that are actually in now

That not only requieres effort it would be a VERY female thing to do. Settling for some older sceneshit we can associate lewdness and effeminancy with seems to suffice for this generation of fags.

>I just want fashionable cuteboys dangit.

Then buy me some clothes and a place to store them because I have no privacy already where I live. No I'm not serious, I wouldn't accept your buy offer anyway. But it's not easy to crossdress when you have no money for a proper wardrobe or a place to safely store nice clothes without them getting messed up.

I never post myself here and don't really intend to do it often or ever again. Pic on the left is more reminiscent of what I'd want. Something cute that can actually fit me because I'm a guy with guy musculature and guy shoulders. Pic on the right is what OP hates but that cost me less than what the dress alone cost, and even then the dress isn't well made.

Tl;dr: not everyone can actually be fashionable. Sorry.

Well true, it requires effort, and the less money you have, the more effort you have to put in. I usually have 3 "sets" of clothes/year, (summer, winter and fall, since spring doesn't exist here)

This doesn't mean that every time the season changes I go to the nearest store and buy 5 whole outfits that match the current trends. Flea markets are your friend, but you need to sometimes get creative. Building up a base of flexible clothes that can be used with different outfits and accessories is something that I've had to learn as well (Hate to admit it but I used to dress the way that I now hate, because I was a nedgy teen)

>>346771

I've been in a situation where I had to hide my clothes and If I wanted to dress up I, had to take my clothes, leave the house and go change in a public bathroom. I know it sucks, feel sorry for you. The first outfit looks cute, where did you buy the dress if it was so expensive? It is a nice dress but it looks like something rather simple i.e. not that expensive.

And well if you just want to see some dicks in panties and a skirt I get why you wouldn't invest so much in the clothes, I didn't really think about that.

If given the choice I'm sure a lot of people would dress differently than they do now, but you take what you can get. I'm probably older than you are and still see myself in that situation for another 5+ years, so I can't go get some nice clothes and build a out of nowhere. Plus I'd nee to try on everything because girl clothes are not meant to fit on guys even of the same height. Finally, it's difficult to find clothes that mix and match when you are restricted by your size and how much they cost.

The dress cost $25 at a thrift store. It used to be way more. The skirt, hoodie, and stockings in the right picture add up to about $25 as well. Though really, it's probably best that you just consider yourself fortunate that you not only live in a place where you can do this but also can afford it, because almost no one else can. Seek out people like yourself and stick to them instead of criticizing people who can't do much to change their shitty looks.

I think part of the reason is because it's a nice "transition" phase into more feminine clothing. You can pull off an andorgynous/crossover look pretty easily with the emo style.

In my case, it also helps that alternative clothing stores (Hot Topic, Spencers, etc) are very accepting and often will have clothes for both sexes in the same general area, which erases the usual awkwardness of wandering into the female section of your average store.

Lastly, and probably the biggest reason, is that the emo/goth look still retains a bit of a masculine edge. It's not pink and flowery, which makes it somewhat more acceptable for a male to wear.

Pic related is a sweater that I wear pretty frequently in public. Not overly girly, but just enough for that alternative fem look.

>"corset" hoodies

I've literally never heard of this, and this picture you posted is the first time I have ever seen one.

>and clothes that are actually in

Ummmmmm, what? Good clothes are for hte most part timeless. I read "actually in" as that disgusting hipster trash like combat boots and shaving half your head. Makes me want to vomit.

UHHHHH, so how do you get back into the privacy of your bedroom where your fetishes belong without anyone else having to look at you?

 No.346789

>>346783

True, good looks are timeless and some outfits and combinations really never go way, but I thought that for someone who's never been that much interested in fashion, looking at what's hot right now might be easier.

I have casual womens wear but I'm also a big fan of lolita dresses that are definitely slutty/bordering on lingerie. It's just fun to wear cosplay tier dresses at home with matching thigh highs and bracelets and stuff people wouldn't normally wear in public. I think people enjoy these weird styles because they're so ridiculous and over the top. Cross dressing is more of a hobby for me, I'm not actually thinking "oh these jeans are cute I can wear them out" when I shop for stuff, because I can't actually wear them out. hoodies like the OP are definitely not something I'd ever buy or wear though

>>346783

oh and by "actually in" I meant things like the current collections in mainstream stores (not saying that they're always good looking or always follow the trends, but they usually know what's up) And if you live anywhere where there are +50 people/town, and if you pay attention, you probably get an idea what people wear normally in that area and what's in otherwise. These are mostly tips to those who want to crossdress in public and don't really matter if you do this in the comfort of you own bedroom.

I usually just wear a graphic-less T-shirt, sweatpants or jeans, and a navy blue hoodie if it's cold, and let my hair grow ~eye length, but I always move it out of the way only covering my left eyebrow. I don't think most of us here actually dress like underage weebs.
