Because man can't describe a place without God's presense, since to us, none exists. God can't either, since He is God and that is literally impossible. God simply gave us a description that would let us know "Hey, this place isn't good for you." You don't need to know the exact structure of Heaven or Hell, since the Bible is teaching us about how to live our lives in order to come back to God's favor in the sacrifice of His son.

Why do you think you can dictate what God decides to do? God is an uncreated, eternal being. He created you and everything else in our universe, and is the ultimate good. Whatever He decides is right and just is so. Why would a holy being who's watched his most beloved creation fail to be what He wants them to become multiple times just shrug His shoulders and go "Eh, maybe next time." That doesn't sound that the all-loving God I know.

God cannot change Himself, because He is eternal. If he were able to change, than He would not be God, since God has to be all-knowing, all-seeing, all-present, uncreated, immutable, and unchanging. God is good, and all that is sinful is not good in the eyes of The Lord. You're also forgetting that God is the eternal and ultimate being, and so He knew that in destroying that city, He was giving us a testament to His strength and purity. Abraham even asks God if He would spare the city of Sodom for less than fifty, going so far as to ask if only ten could be found, would He still spare them. God said He would. God was merciful, even to the completely corrupt city, being willing to spare it for the sake of ten people.

The Jews during World War 2 are not Hebrews, and they have no special covenant with God anymore.
