I do love some of the kinky webcomics and some of the furry aesthetics, which make the community appeal to me.
But other than that, I've mostly made horrible experiences with furries and heard even more disgusting stories.
That's why I never attended a fur convention before. I did hiowever attend a few meetups, but those were mostly just boring.

As someone with a body like that, I have no idea. I've just always looked like that since I was 18ish~. I think it's a combination of bone structure, genetics and a little bit of exercise. I'm similar to my mother in that I don't have wide shoulders and I have a thin waist, throw in the fact that my hips are abnormally wide for a male and I have to walk up five flights of stairs to get to my flat and you have something very similar. I have no idea what you could do besides leg exercises to thicken out your thighs and butt.

Depends on which one you go to, honestly. I've been to the two major ones in the states (Midwest Furfest and Anthrocon) and one medium-sized one (Furry Weekend Atlanta.) The big cons are 7-9k people attending in total, and I think MFF is a hair bigger than AC.
A lot of it is just socializing and hanging around with people. There's a big dealer's room to buy everything from pictures to pillow covers to chainmail skirts to all sorts of weird shit. The con has programming, so there's stuff to see and do each day. (Just google 'Midwest Furfest 2017 programming' and you can look through it.) Gaming rooms and other stuff, too.
And sure, there are going to be room parties and all of that shit.
It's hard to accurately describe if you've not been to one, but there's a certain energy about them. Like a 'Hey, this is a con full of people who like the same thing I do - I can finally just relax and not worry about pretense and talk with them'.

Before this year I had only been to one local furry convention and a few meets and it was horrible. This year I went to AC, FD, Furpoc, and finally MFF, in addition to some regional furry bangers. MFF this year was seriously the best weekend of my life. Once you find a good crew the good times just don't stop rolling. I debated for years and years as to how "furry" I wanted to be; whether I wanted to keep it exclusively online, and why do so many furries let it consume their whole life etc…All my questions are answered. I love this fandom with every fiber of my being. I can't wait to get a fursuit and just become a total trash mammal.
