Works pretty well for my purposes. I've heard good stuff about J-lube though. It's like a lube concentrate that you can mix to different consistencies. One container can make several gallons of lube.

I just have some simple but high quality water based lubricant. It's perfect for masturbating but with my dildos it's not too good. I guess my next purchase is some lube that is specifically meant for anal.

OP here, ya i've only used fingers for a while and i ordered a pretty small one about 3.5" insertable and 3.75" circumference. the material says "jelly rubber" but im guessing its the same as silicon? so i should get water based lube or order something else that says silicon? does water base dry up really fast, i'm scared it will dry up and get stuck inside and hurt to pull back out

Water drys up quickly, be sure to reapply. If it's a small plug, I wouldn't worry too much. I don't know the material of "jelly" but I wouldn't risk it with silicone lube. Wearing for like an hour or two won't be much of an issue anyway, by long term I mean something like overnight or even longer.

Get water lube for that plug. If it's steel or glass, use silicone.

I've personally never found silicone to get more sticky. Stickiness as they dry is more common with cheap water-based ones. Silicone takes a ton of time to dry in the first place, relatively. Stickiness goes away as you reapply in both cases.

I personally prefer silicone for actual sex. You don't need to bother reapplying as much; no interruptions. It's also a minor thing, but silicone has a thinner coating, so it feels slightly more intimate.

Although, I feel like water-lube creates "more" glide though, if you coat it on thick. You can also apply it to any toy. If you're new you can't really go wrong with it.

If you're just going by your local sex shop, pick up a bit of both and play around with it. They usually carry small sample-ish bottles. If you're ordering online and you're not sure, purchase some high-quality water-based. Don't buy oil-based or some weird novelty shit with a taste of strawberries or whatever.

I'd stay away from lube with numbing properties. It reduces the sensation, and you might accidentally hurt yourself slightly. If things are too big, you shouldn't force it in by numbing your body. Don't rush it, and give it a couple of sessions.

If it's really your first time, take it slow, cut both of your nails, and do some relaxing foreplay with fingers while cuddling. It's the best.

J-lube is the best bang for your buck, and probably the best bang period for that matter. It's kind of finicky to use, though. It goes bad quickly if you mix it in advance and let it get old. I put some in a salt shaker and just sprinkle it over my toys/hands as needed which works great.

That said, I don't have much experience with other lubes. Other than Jlube, I've only ever used cheap stuff from walmart and improvisational shit like hair conditioner.

If I don't felling like going to the store, I use fresh egg whites. For seconds, I like scotch for a cleanser ;-)

Probably silicone, since it lasts long. Swiss Navy sells some good silicone lube. It can only be consistently used with glass or stainless steel toys though without there being some issues. Plastics are iffy, since some are also silicone, so for those I'd use water based lube.

Aww, was hoping for an alternative to use with my silicone toy. The water based stuff dries out too quickly. Coconut oil is pretty good at lasting longer, but it doesn't create enough of a "slippy" feeling.

I got a big ass bottle of Passion Lube, which isn't even half empty yet, but it's not that great. It's the first lube I've ever had. There's better lube, right? Because this stuff dries up fairly quick and gets sticky.

What I've found best is to use silicon around your ass, then use the syringe to fill yourself up with cumlube, but that's because I do a lot of assplay in the shower and having water based lube there would be a problem
