On the contrary! Sausage Party DID change the industry, in that it made studio executives feel that adult animation (puppetry is a type of animation) was a safe choice as long as it was low-brow, lowest common denominator, dumb gross-out comedy!

So thanks to Sausage Party, we'll be able to see more films exactly like it and Happytime Murders every two years or so, and absolutely nothing that diviates from the formula!
