I would like to dedicate a thread to Superhero Parodies and Comedy, I consider the The Justice Friends to be the funniest and definitely comfiest superhero parody out there. Anyone got anymore examples?

Everybody loves The Tick cartoon, but not many people seem to talk about the original comic.

There should make more of these, but given current day, it would probably be Calarts garbage.

I'm surprised with the current superhero craze going on that they haven't tried to bring them back. I think it's probably because they almost ran into legal trouble with Marvel concerning the Silver Spooner episode. With how sue-happy Marvel and Disney are they probably don't wanna bother with the chance in a show full of superhero parodies.

Apparently Spooner is slang for faggot, and they didn't like that.
With that bod, anyone would go faggot for him

From what I heard it wasn't so much he acted very flamboyant but it was because him and the Galactus-parody were considered too similar to their source inspirations. Marvel was prepared to sue due to thinking the likeness of their characters were stolen. That's why the episode stopped airing for a while after it's premiere.
▶ No.997376>>997399
I find it funny that Miss Pell never got to appear that much in the show yet there's fan art of her.
▶ No.997399>>997536

Hell i honestly never even knew a lick about her until now.
Also Justice Friends was way better than dial M for monkey imo, since the latter took itself abit too seriously at some points in the show and the main chick was so useless that she had to be bailed out by Monkey every episode.
▶ No.997400
I love that shit, it's just a shame I never got to see their individual segments because my country's Cartoon Network brilliantly decided to never dub and show them along with Dial M for Monkey.

Because I associate Megas with other shows like Kim Possible, this reminded me of their Team Go. Who even have a Teen Titans tower.

I liked the Dial M for monkey episode that involved having to fight some intergalactic wrestler voiced by Randy Macho Man Savage.
>>997509
I wonder what Team Go is supposed to be based off of? I get the Teen Titans aspect but would Fantastic Four or Doom Patrol work as well?
▶ No.997595
>>997536
Personally, always got more of a Doom Patrol vibe, but see Fantastic Four as well. They also pulled the bit where they hit all the major cliches. Go City, team jet. etc. And because they seem to genuinely like superheroes, it is closer to The Incredibles, where while they may have stereotypical powers, it is still an original team as an homage.

Daily reminder that Rasslor takes so much inspiration from Marvel's Two-in-One Annual #7, where the Thing squares up against
Champion you could argue it's more of a rip-off.
It either got storytimed here a couple of years ago, or I must have read the entire story on some blogpost site. It's pretty great and I recommend it.

Several have been made in Japan, there's a big poster advertising one on a stairway up to a porn shop in Osaka.
Also I can remember a thread on here where a western-made porn parody of the Justice League had better costumes than the official movie

Empowered is great parody of capes and a very good series in general. It is also full of cheesecake. Some people do not like how Warren draws faces and have hard time getting used to them.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' started out and were a parody of the 80s comics - especially Miller's Daredevil and X-Men series. Larsen's volume three is not as good as the other ones,
>>999414
>decent porn parodies
Empowered is as close as it gets to it if you are looking for 2D media. It not porn, but a good cheesecake comedy comics that makes fun of capes. Much like Tick, it also happens to have a genuinely better story and action than most big two books in the last two or even three decades.
3D porn can have good costumes in some cases, but at the end of the day it is never better than slightly above average porn flick with some humor and some self awareness.

Isn't Deadpool a parody of Wolverine? He's got a uglier version of Logan's healing factor and his fighting ability is due to military training.
DP2 is amusing in that there was so much effort to get Colossus and Juggernaut looking like the comics. Even Cable looked great except for his height.
Then Domino was allowed to have the frizzy afro-hair and be black. At least make her negative image of the comic Domino. White hair, white eyepatch and white body-suit. That will look much better than what was shown..
