I shouldn't have expected anything else, but when this was announced I had some hope for it. It was clearly only happening because the landwhale wanted to make it, so I thought she would have had more passion for it and wanted to try something outside of what she normally does. Turns out all she can do or wants to do is "isn't funny the fat lady is fat/awkward/crude". Eddie Valiant she isn't. It's even lit and shot like a typical dumb comedy. Zero effort all around.

During the Muppet Show, Jim had some comedians and actors who were fairly Republican, so that would be giving them a platform, making him a racist. Yes.

To be fair, it's s a bit hard to be mad when you're marvelling at just how out of touch a company has to be that they look at "Catholic Space Nazis: The Universe" and say 'yes, this looks like it has room for a series of books aimed at 8-12 year olds.
It's sort of like that Saturday Morning Watchmen thing if it was serious. Sure you could be mad at how they miss the entire point, but it's still impressive to see them miss.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit is a joint production owned by Amblin Partners and The Walt Disney Studios. Not only has Walt Disney Pictures avoided majorly fucking up their IPs, Amblin Pictures still has plenty of dignity as a film studio. You know what, I'm not gonna lie. I actually think 40K for kids sounds really fucking awesome. Can't submerge yourself in water without getting your toes wet first.

It COULD be done well, or at least not shit. A series of Unfortunate Events was massively dark for a kids series. If they could get away with something anywhere near that level of grimness, it could be passable.

Could be, but this is also GW we're talking about, who apparently has a company policy where everything must be done to deliberately make them fail.
t. bitter fa/tg/uy
I'd rather see kids develop a genuine interest in it, even if it's in this entry-level way, as opposed to gaining interest in it through its shitty knockoffs, like Warcraft. Like I did.

I certainly expected nothing good of it, and in fact I actually expect this yo be hilariously entertaining due to how bad of a job they'll do. But there might exists a version of this that works. Gloss over the sex parts of Chaos Gods, and you're most of the way to making it ok for kids by most standards.
No.996625

Either it'll be so bad it's entertaining, or it might be surprisingly, legitimately good. I'm expecting the former, but I'm willing to keep an open mind on the latter. I doubt it'll be a Thundercats scenario, and thank fuck for that.

I remember watching some youtube series were this human used to rape puppets but was released from prison since he served time. He finds himself getting caught up in some weird puppet conspiracy with puppets that are a lot like the ones on Sesame Street. Ultimately he finds out the puppet cop that put him away is behind this conspiracy and defeats the cop by raping him to death since raping is the only way to kill a puppet. It's also revealed the rapist was molested by Big Bird as a kid. The whole thing is portrayed as dark and serious but comes off as funny sometimes. I don't know if the creators of that show intended that.
