Yeah, there aren't too many artists with the linework and inking skills to make black and white pop like that.
It's refreshing to see someone doing the lush Brian Bolland-type inking instead of trying to be Frank Miller or Simon Bisley.

It was only three episodes before Eureka died, but it was a big deal for me, one of the first Australian comics I ever saw, and one of the first anime-style I read, getting little me hooked on Dirty Pair and Battle Angel Alita. Really early work from Steve Stamatiadis, who went on to bigger things, like Star Wars.
