Bat ears don't need to be so long that they catch on doorways and car roofs in order to be imposing. Val Kilmer's costume tried that and he had to switch to a different cowl with shorter ears just to fit in the Batmobile.
Bruce Timm got the batsuit just right with his first design. The New Adventures redesign was just a recolor but the Justice League redesign made him lanky and awkward.

The toned down violets of the 60s Batman don't distract from the design like the gloves of first appearance Batman clearly do, ESPECIALLY when the gloves appear to be the only place where any violet colors are present, if we go solely on the OP image.
