They seemed like decent people too when they first started. I can only assume that over time when they realize which target audience they wanted they had to fully pander in order to get their shekels. It's an easy way lots of people avoid criticism. "Where you're not acting like an adult" the show is designed for kids and event they are spotting the issues. This isn't high art where the symbolism/classical references/denouement are being misinterpreted by the plebs it's just poorly written and animated. you don't need to go to art school to know a show has failed at being entertaining.
