Jessica Jones season 2 dropped, and I just finished it.Personal opinion is that it was better than the first season, but that opinion mainly comes from the fact that the show didn't make you watch them capture the bad guy and have him escape 4 fucking times. But none of you want to hear about why I might of liked it, so here's some retarded shit the show did

-Brought Nuke back only to redeem him and kill him off to establish the bad guy as a threat

-Hogarth (The Lawyer) gets another season-long subplot that only intersects with the main plot once, except this time it intersects in about the 4th episode for one very minor thing and then stops mattering

-In fact, despite liking the entire show, there's MULTIPLE subplots that basically do nothing to advance the plot at all.

-Trish Walker gets a subplot about her falling into drug addiction because of her intense desire to get superpowers. There would be nothing wrong with this if it hadn't culminated in her almost dying to get powers, and then ending the season with "And now she has powers" which completely undermines the whole story arc treating her obsessive need for them as a very bad thing.

-Trish also reconnects with her mother in this season, despite showing her to be blatantly abusive in the first season

-Jessica accidentally kills another person which at this point seems to be the writer's cheap way to fuck her up the moment she starts to feel happy

Could have at least put in links. If you used Netflix, you deserve beatings.

It didn't occur to me to post the links because I don't even think anyone cares enough to watch it.

I might check this out to see if it's shit or not. Shame about season 1 though. It starts off decent then gradually goes to shit and Jessica's character never grows.

Guess this means they are angling for a Hellcat series next. Great.

Weren't Hellcats powers mystical in origin or something?

It will all just be vague evil experiments because that's more gritty and realistic. I'm honestly surprised that the Iron Fist wasn't explained away as being some kind of mundane, explainable thing and that dragons didn't actually exist. Doesn't matter either way, because anything to do with superheroics will be relegated to a tertiary plot element while they tackle more mundane political back stabbing, cop drama, and legal procedural bullshit with the occasional wink or nod to fans with some bit character having the same name as someone who was more interesting in the comics.

yes, but there was a character before her with the same outfit that was just called "The Cat" whose powers were originally science based… then they turned her into a full fledged furry as Tigra.

>dragons didn't actually exist

audiences are more willing to accept magic stuff if it's dressed up in mystic Asian bullshit. Plus they already had giant flying cyborg zombie dragons in Avengers anyway.

It still surprises me that the Hand's whole goal was to dig for Dragon Bones to maintain their immortality. Guess they really are Chinese after all.

I'm only a few episodes in to the new season of Jessica Jones, but if this is the best that a team of female directors & writers can do, then I'm ready go back to filmmaking being a Boys' Club. Every character is shrill, self-centered and unlikeable; almost every scene has a grown either talking about their own genitalia or accusing someone else of some kind of bigotry (or both); the men are all effeminate gays, minority purse puppies and white guys who either abuse/betray women or need to be saved by them. And of course, every scene the lesbian Jeri Hogarth character is in, she's like, "I really like to have sex with women! Have I told you how much I like having sex with women? Here's a scene of me having a drug-fueled orgy with prostitutes because that's what lesbians do!" I'm remember the first season being this unpleasant, but not with this cringe factor. It feels like without Kilgrave to give the show some focus, the writers are just flailing around, throwing whatever social justice crap at the wall they can find and hoping some of it sticks.

Whizzer running is so bad it's hilarious. They had all this money and they couldn't even make that look good.

Basically none of that is true

i think that was supposed to be part of the joke, even his powers made him look like a loser.
