I know this den of scum and villainy enjoys hating everyone and everything, but there's something you need to know if you haven't figured it out, already.

I just got finished watching 4 back-to-back episodes of Zombie Simpsons. I'm thinking they were from somewhere around season 24-28. I've never seen them before.

Were they the best Simpsons episodes I've ever seen? No. Absolutely not.

Were they terrible? No, I laughed my ass off. And I know why I enjoyed them more than I usually do.

Zombie Simpsons is bad when you wait all week for it.

That's it. When you wait for Sunday night to watch it, you don't feel that surge of excitement you used to get when things were awesome, because it's really not as good as it was back then. But it's not awful when you watch it in syndication.

A thread died for this, and I regret nothing. Seriously, go catch up with the Simpsons. I think you'll all be pleasantly surprised.

Have they stopped using celebrity cameos as a crutch?

That’s a hot opinion, but I don’t know what you were expecting? This isn’t /v/.

Why would I watch something terribly mediocre when I can watch or read something else that's good?

 No.976077

I enjoy a modern episode every once and a while

 No.976087

Absolutely not. Every now and then I give new episodes a chance, possibly because I found the synopsis potentially interesting, possibly to see if they've improved.

And no, they haven't. They're incredibly unfunny, to the point that it'd almost be impressive if it weren't so sad.

I can't even fathom how you found a modern episode funny, but it suggests you have terrible taste in humor.

Eat and shit and die Groening, you used to be fun but now you're just some fatass whore. Thank you for all the Simpsons memes, but you and the Simpsons are long long past your welcome just fuck off already.

>Eat and shit and die

That's a typo right?

It's the sequel to Eat Pray Love.

I'm sometimes impressed that it isn't as bad as I expected. It strives for mediocrity and sometimes achieves it.

Am I right in thinking Groening is barely involved with The Simpsons any more?

Not that it'd necessarily be better if he was. Just as a new Star Wars trilogy from Lucas wouldn't magically make it 1977 again.

Kill yourself cuckchanner.

I for one appreciated the levels of realism and gritty undertones in this one

You're probably right.

I've noticed the same thing. The reruns are usually a lot more enjoyable somehow.

Try to watch the Lady Gaga episode and say that again with a straight face.
