Comic is enjoyable, but I don't know what to make of it. Is it supposed to be commentary on new 52? "Taking a tried idea, injecting it into character that is nothing, and using it to propagate an ideology" part makes it sound like the book is about altering character for ideological pandering, something that Marvel has been more guilty of in recent years.
>Fugg alien that looks like a mixture of Spurdo and Mitty
>Bane coloring pages with "For You" in them
And now
>"Got your daily dose here"
>"He's a big one"
So the DC fag is either Gerard Way or someone else involved with Young Animal imprint. If so, when is the hotel oblivion coming out and who thought that recruiting Visagio was a good idea?
>>965493
It was alright, and Silencer's power is something that you rarely see in comics. Romita JR actually managed to draw something that isn't too hard on the eyes for the most part. Last page aside.

I typically hate this kind of writing, but I'm honestly shocked nobody ever tried to use the Lord Havoc thing from Gerard Jones' Justice League run as an out to explain Max's heel turn. It was an awful plot device, but nobody ever did anything with it aside from a brief mention in Formerly Known as the Justice League. It's perfect.

Oh, we should storytime Muhammad X. It's a whole issue of a proto-BLM superhero being a jerk to Superman, and Superman is so horrified at being called racist that he follows him around for what seems like weeks trying to make friends with him. It's precious.

No.968211
>>968045
Generally it's much better than previous issues. Batman is no longer a complete jackass, Joker is not constantly glorified, way characters act makes sense, and there are no convenient coincidences and illogical scenarios. To think of it, maybe it is so good because Napier is hardly in it, as most of the issues center around him and his interactions with others.
Main bad part is that Bats are still calling each other by name when in costume, and even through radio in second page on >>968044. It is a miracle that they all managed to keep their identities secret in Murphyverse.
There are few issues with layout as well. On splash page in post >>968043, panel with Gordon should have been either higher or moved all the way to the left. I would also move the onomatopoeia on 2nd page in >>968042, so that it is not perpendicular to the motion that causes it. Right now it looks kind of jarring.

The story is taking the path I expected from issue one (Looks like Napier and bats working together will be how Gotham City gets better) but I think people were too worried about it being a really awful SJW shoehorn to think it might be any good until now.

Quick reminder that this shit's been going on since June. 9 fucking months of this repetitive Batwank, and it's somehow still not over. I don't even know how they expect to end it at this point. They've hyped up the evil Batmen as being so fucking far ahead of the curve that I can't see any way the League can beat them without serious asspullery. This issue wasn't even part of the checklist, so I can only assume they had to write it in order to set up some kind of resolution for Metal #6. What a disaster.
