Did Cartoon Network use to air more overtly religious cartoons during Christmas in the 90s/early 2000s? Do they still do so anymore or hell no? I have vague memories of them airing this Veggietales Christmas special, and I've read a few other people mention they remember watching old cartoons with religious references during Christmas like "Good Will to Men" on the channel. However, I can't find anything stating so besides one or two other people saying they remember.

Also the Veggietales official account is uploading the full library of Veggietales onto their youtube for some reason, with the exception of the new Netflix ones.

All I can ever remember is CN showcasing Grandma Got Run Over and the Oliver special, possibly showing Grinch (cartoon and live-action) and whichever old Hanna-Barbera holiday stuff they had.

I also noticed the episodes on youtube the other day. Someone probably realized that there's no real way to watch the old veggietales because I dont think they are on itunes or amazon and nobody owns VHS players anymore. I'm not surprised that someone did it since the show was always more about proselytizing than about making money, I'm just surprised they were allowed to. I would think the jews at Universal would kvetch about someone releasing pro-Christian media, for free no less.

Catching up on some because I have nothing better to do, I'm surprised at how well-done some bits are.

I remember seeing those old claymation Christmas movies on there a long time ago, but that's about it.

speaking of Christian entertainment

>tfw all of Bibleman will never be uploaded

It's filled with so much unintentional hilarity.

Are the post-Jonah, pre-Noah's Ark VeggieTales any good? Heard mixed things about them.

 No.955249

I remember turning the TV on waiting for everyone else to wake up on Christmas Day, and the KND Christmas Special was airing, followed by the Class of 3000 Christmas Special.

I sincerely hope that CN's ratings drop like a stone this year, and Nick and Disney play it smart with their classic Christmas Specials lineup.
