I did a little research and discovered that Beverly Reeves, Waid's new attorney, is based out of Austin, Texas. That is also where the case is being heard.

Rekita, being a patent attorney that wants to tell his fans what they want to hear, assumes that it was because Meyer's case is rock solid or because Waid didn't agree with the bill. I, after fifteen minutes on google, propose a different theory: Zaid advised his client to find an Austin based attorney for the case. Zaid could petition for pro hac vice (Zaid is based in Washington, D.C.), but it's not guarantee that the court will grant it, and even if the petition was successful, Waid would still have to hire a local attorney to act as local counsel. Thus, the switch to Beverly Reeves.

Also, Zaid hasn't deleted either of his tweets on the matter, so Zaid might've still petitioned for pro hac vice with Beaverly Reeves acting as local counsel.

Reiketa already did an update vid.

Rekaida assumed that Waid got the extension to get a new lawyer since Zaid cant directly lead there. But Zaid is still staying on and filing an obvious pro hac vice that the super lawyer should of done since day one.

Anons are defending an obvious move that should of been done day 1 this late in the game. Rekita was caught off guard by a lawyer making the client pay even more for representation.
