He’s edgier than the Joker and really drives home the stupidity of Batman’s no kill rule.
I mean, this isn’t Mr. Freeze where he’s driven by love or Two-Face who’s driven by revenge and a treatable mental condition. This is a dyed in the wool psychopath who’s carving people up. It’s like when Joker stopped being a clown themed mobster and started being a clown themed mass murderer and terrorist. It makes Batman look like the ultimate hypocrite when he says “Oh, if I kill them then I’m just as bad as them” when the Joker kills an entire kindergarten class.
Batman’s gone from being worried about the ethics of crime fighting to Justin Trudeau worried that if he kills his enemies they’ll win.
