I wish I could be excited for comic book movies again. But between fatigue and the state of the companies spewing out trash, I just can't. What's worse is how Venom in the comics is now the spawn of some dark god bullshit. That's just dumb. There was nothing wrong with it being a mysterious alien. But now it's just gotten more and more complicated since Bendis introduced Klyntar. Funny how a lot of bad ideas can be traced back to Bendis.

That movie was fucking something! Remember watching it as a 5 years old on bad VHS tape. The whole atmosphere of the movie is just… i can't even put in on a word. It's just comfy, dirty, beautiful, alien, scary but interesting. Love it!

Guyver was pretty damn horrible. Even with all the mumbling and horrible CG I doubt venom will be worse than Guyver. Guyver 2 on the other hand is a comfy look at what a western toku for an older audience could have been.

Forgetting Spider-Man 3 and Amazing Spider-Man 2. I would place Guyver above both, and that is only because it has wrapped around to being so bad, its good. Director for Venom has only done one good thing, and that's Zombieland. This is still the same Amy Pascal, and Sony that keep on making poor to terrible decisions. Guyver has a very good shot of still being more enjoyable then Venom.

It does get to be too much when you realize that now Venom and his race are tied in with Spiderman, Thor, SHIELD, and Guardians of the Galaxy. And that's even inckuding Deadpool's Secret War tie in which I'm not sure has been retconned or not. Venom is starting to get as convoluted as Hawkman.

At least the Symbiotes are no longer misunderstood noble minorities like Bendis wrote them to be anymore. Klyntar was the gayest word ever introduced to Symbiote lore.
