The problem with these shows is they drag on. Lots of TV show filler drama I don't care about. Maybe they'd be better if they were just made for Netflix movies, or mini series with only 6 episodes or so.

The first two episodes of Punisher, where he was actually being the Punisher were awsome. Then it turned into a TV drama, and I stopped caring.

The first Luke Cage could have been cut down to 4 really tight episodes and been done and over with. Instead we got 13 fucking episodes of melodramatic whining, cop drama, annoying nigger street politics, city politics, and like 10 total minutes of Luke Cage doing Luke Cage things. All the netflix Marvel stuff has devolved into this same formula where they think so little of the character that's starring the show, so they come up with all these asinine B and C and D plots about police and shady dealings and women crying. Just watching the teaser for Luke Cage season 2, you can tell that they are way more enamored with this retarded virtue signalling narrative about saving a black community, and since they cared so little about superhero shit, what do we get again? Another mirror match villain where the finale will be the hero fighting someone with identical powers.

It shows that Disney Marvel shit is entirely based on hype and advertising. It's all trash quality, but people are tricked into thinking some of it is good by clever marketing and social media manipulation.

I just finished watching it, and was planning on making a thread about it.I like it, better than season 1, and it was fun. Bush Master was a great villain, even if I needed to turn on subtitles to translate all of the dialogue spoken by the Jamaicans. It still suffers the same problem of every show except for DD S1, which is that it loses it's fucking footing and meanders about. However, Luke Cage has managed once again get me excited about what will happen next season, while still concluding the current season with a straight up cliff hanger.

The issue is honestly that they aren't MORE like television shows. in DDS1 was like watching a 13 hour movie. Everything was tightly focused and pressed characters and plot forward. The other shows just feel obligated to follow that 13 episode formula, but don't have enough of a script. If this aired on TV, you would hget a B-plot for every episode that gets wrapped up, but some how pushes the seasonal arc forward. Since it's Netflix, they have no need to do that.

Did you forget the part where the entire investigation into the Kingpin by Ben Urich is made null and void by episode 10 and Daredevil only manages to bring down Fisk by shaking down some faggot from 8 episodes ago for information, rendering all of that bullshit and screen-space devoted to Karen Page a waste of time? Or that entire pointless episode with Stick trying to kill the Black Sun? Or that pointless bullshit with Madame Gao? Or Wesley's hilariously stupid death?

Daredevil Season 1 had all the same problems that later shows did, it just had the advantage that a) the first 5-6 episodes were pretty damn solid and b) because it was the first one, people were willing to forgive it a lot of missteps?

Netflix original shows went down the toilet virtually as soon as Soros put money into them.

Frankly one of the big problems with Cage's pacing is that they don't use his original origin story.

It's really easy to stretch that out over 13 hours without getting stale. Could have used it to flesh out the MCU too. Instead they went with modern Bendis racial grievance Cage.

Probably the worst thing about the season is that it PRETENDS Luke is going to become a "Hero for Hire" but by the end of the season he's back to telling people "I can't be bought." They make it look like he's going to shake down assholes for money if he realizes he's going to help them regardless, but two episodes later they drop it.

But seriously, the people who write these shows think they are too good to write silly comic book shit. So instead, they write preachy, delusional propaganda instead.

I agree that most of these netflix shows are overly long and lack the material to make up for it. Doesn't help that they're just police procedurals 95% of time.

Luke Cage and Iron Fist should have just been one series. You just needed to have the Meachums funding Mariah's campaign and it probably wouldn't take much more to intertwine the 2 heroes while cutting the more awful aspects of those shows (Misty, Night Nurse cameo, Colleen, Hand young camp) It should have been one fun buddy action/comedy instead of 2 shows starring duds with little to no personality.

Its also interesting to see her daughter try and break the stokes family cycle, but by trying to clear her family's name she did bad things. So she was corrupted by her mother in a true stokes fashion. Also she may be doing it because she loved bushmaster?

thats fair, I think Iron fist really only shines next to luke cage (at least in the tv show), it was nice seeing him in season 2. Cage can stand on his own pretty well though.

Surprised there isn't more discussion on Bushmaster. He was probably the best thing about this season.

I guess a minor thing that bugged me about the show is that they talk about how Bushmaster's actions harmed Jamaicans and they get harassed by the cops but they never showed it.
