I'm personally planning to diversify my fiat into GUSD (GeminiUSD), PAX (Paxos Standard), TUSD (TrueUSD), USDT (Tether) and EURS (STASIS EURS).
IBM is planning to launch some stablecoins on the Stellar network too so you might want to keep your eye on that. Steller's transaction fee is almost zero so it can be used for micro payments.
