I'm not in studios all that often. I have the one connection through AFoV, but that's it. I spent a lot of time being a crusty in the mid 2000's when that subculture took off, so I got to meet a lot of the people who are big names now before they were big names. I'm on a first name basis with a lot of them so when they come through town or nearby I'm usually given a heads up personally.
It's mostly Acoustic punk, though I do have to plug in for a couple of songs. A lot of stuff I wrote when I was whacked out of my mind on drugs and always drunk towards the end of my teens and into my early twenties. Try secondhand shops and thrift stores. I found my first two guitars and a mandolin that way, never paid over fifty bucks and they did wonders with some minor fixes.
