We had one guy in military that always took vacations to compete in kickboxing on the national championships.

The moment you said "black problem" you could have just said "male problem" instead because it is a much more statistically relevant distinction. Over 87% of gun violence is committed by males, while only some 48% is committed by black people.
Fun fact, it's actually black people that are significantly more in favour of gun control than white people.
You can take the figures and shove them up your ass OR you can do the intellectually honest thing and remember that black people have relatively lower levels of income and education in the US, which partially is the result of decades of oppressive laws and policies, leaving them in a vicious cycle that correlates with the gun crime.
Mind that when *I* say "gun problem", I mean in order:
A) way too many fucking guns with the root problem being manufacture
B) spree killings
C) general homicide rate
D) police brutality
If you try to solve the "gun problem" in any order except this one, you may as well be trying to build a bridge to nowhere.

Although the Icelandic folk are their own breed as the last name changes with every new child born into the family as they have their father's name + dottir/sson behind it to mark that they're their son or daughter.
