I'm just telling you things I wish someone had told me.
I know I used to say that I'd never drink. but later I did.
then I said I'd never become an alcohol. but later I did.
I haven't had a drink for over a year now, and thinking about having any makes me sick to my stomach. but I think it's a lot more realistic to have a smart, nuanced approach to vices than it is to say it's all or nothing. because maybe it won't be alcohol for you, but it could easily be something else. I was one of those idiots that tried to solve my emotions with poison. and it worked for a while.
I wish someone had told me not to treat drinking like a solution to problems. but in the middle of it, I doubt I would have listened, because if you're someone that has anxiety, you definitely notice how it reduces your anxiety and makes you more comfortable. and that's how many people become alcohols.
I wasn't sure if this saying you won't touch a drop of alcohol is something you were just saying on a whim, or something you've truly made up your mind about, and you're going to live your life by, like Penn Gillette. because that's how rare it is; it's noteworthy when someone does it. and I'm sorry for assuming incorrectly.

but I feel like there's some lesson here that I'm failing to learn. by getting over it, I'm doomed to repeat some mistake.
that I'm missing something. that I need to search for it, and once I find it, something will click and I'll stop feeling this way.
but it's not true, is it. it doesn't feel satisfying to say that. it doesn't seem true. it seems like the reason I'm feeling this way must be external from me, and it must be solved or dealt with, but it isn't. it's just me. and I can get over it if I want to. and in fact, by getting over it, I'm more able to take a step back and look at this objectively. that yes, people will judge posts by superficial standards like size, and even base how they feel off of that alone, perhaps without reading a single word. or that nezi doesn't care to understand how you meant to help or the feels you truly felt, and trying to explain it just feeds into a bias he has against you about how you're an autistic sperg, and using emotion ridden paragraphs to explain yourself won't change a thing, or what's more likely, it'll make things worse.
so if I took a breath, and looked at this objectively, what I'd do is try to explain myself with less words to nezi at a later time. and if that doesn't work, and I know I tried, to not be bothered by it.

You acted like a repulsive garbage austistic scumbag. You still do. What do you expect?
But lemme learn you something. You gotta build your love and confidence for yourself deeper than that. If your brother acted like a scumbag, you'd still love him even if you were disappointed in him, right? That's how you've got to treat yourself. Because you're in charge of looking after yourself. Your self-love needs to go deeper than anywhere your actions your qualities can reach. It needs to be fundamental.
Once you've got that, this shit won't matter to you. Trust me.

I took you at your word. searched myself inside and out. and when you wouldn't give me a better elaboration, I worked with the assumption that I was as shit as you said I was.
self love is important. but I don't want to be in denial of my flaws if they really exist. for better or for worse, coming out of last year, I'm at least more confident than ever about what I am. part of that was figuring out what you were, so I could make the distinction.
turns out you weren't being objective. you got issues. and some of the shit you said to me is better explained when I consider the fact they're coming from you in particular. but you still said things that others have said in other ways. so I considered those.
I'm not autistic, objectively I'm not, but I do express myself with a certain lack of social awareness that you hear from people with aspergers.
I'm a little repulsive, but the things you've been repulsed by have more to do with you than me, and even then, love and not self-loathing should make the change.
I'm not a scumbag. I care deeply about people, more than I think I'll care to let on anymore. I don't like to see people in pain, emotional or otherwise. I've never bullied anyone I didn't think could handle it. if you think I'm scum, and you act the way you do, I can't imagine how you must see yourself.
