They couldn't be further apart, but something about this show reminds me of Luck & Logic. I'm not even sure if I can place my finger on it, but I just get that impression. Maybe it's the serious plot and worldbuilding undermined by cute girls, kids gloves combat and themes? Shitty CGI monsters that are supposed to be a huge world-threat, but end up harmless and/or mascots?

I just don't know, but anything that reminds me of that trash anime is a terrible thing and this is no exception. I'll stick it out regardless, since it's an interesting concept and there's a boatload more episodes to go (why the fuck did this get 24 episodes?) so there is room for improvement. But I'm not really holding my breath on it.

The girls are fairly cute though, I guess.

I'm watching this and it's not great, but it's fairly comfy and the lead characters play off each other fairly well. I wish it'd get moving though, we're 5 episodes in and the last 4 were almost identical.

Feels like a rare reversal of the usual problem nowadays. They've written the plot for 12 episodes, but have 24 to work with. Usually it's the other way around. Might be interesting (read; boring) to see it play out from this angle.

Or who knows. It's an original, so shit could get seriously awesome any minute now.
