I have brothers, but I don't think that's related in any way. I'm pretty indifferent about them.

I think it's the feeling of security sibling relationships give. There's someone who's always close, but there's no obligation to try to impress them or try to be on the same level somehow or make appearances, since they know what you're really like and care about you regardless of that. Even if you're awkward and not particularly great at anything, siblings can still love each other as family, and you want to repair the relationship if it gets bad. Relationships between strangers are much more fragile and have a lot more barriers and complications in between.

Growing up in a poisonous environment is one of the worst thing that can happen to a female since they can't live several weeks without interacting with people, so she ended up interacting with other addicts and her addiction is inevitable. I'd argue that you should get her hospitalized and cured of her addiction but seeing your economical condition that wouldn't be viable. Stay strong, anon.

Having a little sister isn't all about fun, anon. Ever think what would happen if she grows up into an adult? What about your responsibility to properly protect her as an elder sibling? What about the amount of burden she'll cause for your parents?
