Silly thing, when the penny finally drops and we realize the ride is over.

How do we all deal with it?

 No.53969

I don't. It's been years and I still want to kill myself when I think about Spice and Wolf

 No.53974

I felt so sad when Oreimo ended. I wanted to see more Kirino.

It's alright anon. I'm sure we'll get Season 3 soon.

Or at least an adaptation of his new series about the wolf loli

The only thing I have going for me is that I still haven't read all the LNs yet, but even then knowing the anime is dead is the worst feeling in the world right now.

There wont be any season 3

Gurren Lagann was the best and most depressive anime I watched, I couldn't properly function in society while watching it and after finishing watching it. I just have hope that one day I will forget about all these masterpieces and rewatch them with my children or grandchildren, just like my dad used to watch his favourite cartoons with me.

>Spice and Wolf

I've just started watching it. Is it really that good?

Only S1 is good.

 No.53990

Play vidya with heavy gameplay focus.

And after getting sick and tired of that shit to the point of vowing to never those those shitty games again or about for next week or so, go back to mango and VN's.

Also, after going through enough content you get this kind of meta perceptive on things, that while useful for these kinds of things, can really fuck you up if you let it by getting too detached overall.

>Is it really that good?

It's generally agreed to be fantastic, but maybe you won't like it for some reason. The most painful thing is how Lawrence and Holo's relationship is 100% the cutest shit ever but in a completely realistic way that is actually attainable in real life, unlike most rom-com relationships that are trying too hard to make the couple seem perfect. So from the moment onwards that you finish the series you'll be forever reminded that unlike every other romance you've seen, a loving relationship like Lawrence and Holo is something you could actually get one day if you were too much of a sad waste of space to be loved.

>Gurren Lagann

Good first season.

Second season shat all over character development.

Still positive overall.

 No.54025

for me, i only get depressed when the series had an unsatisfying ending. for shows with really nice endings, i'll end up coming up with fantasies related to them and play them out in my head, as well as rewatching them sometime later in the future a few times most likely.

additionally, if a show had a satisfying ending but didn't really flesh stuff out as much, or if some of the better side characters got shat on, then i'll be kinda sad.

>>54023

i thought the whole thing was really good, not only the first cour.

>find something new to enjoy

>dedicate yourself to work

>reexamine the series to find things you missed (specifically symbolism is easy to miss on first viewing / subtleties in dialog)

>read or watch or write reviews of the show to gain better understanding overall of what you watched

>speculate about the series with other anons on imageboards: what things meant, where the series is going, if the author has interest in continuing the series, etc

I found that immediately starting another show helps a lot, so I try to delay final episodes until I already have another show lined up and I can watch the last episode of the old show and the first episode of the new one back to back.

 No.54095

I like to read episode summaries on wikipedia or a fan wikia, but I tend to do that regardless of post-series depression. The main way I stave it off is to hold off from binging on a series, and delay watching the final episode. I felt it a few days after polishing off the last 10 episodes of LoGH in one day, but I knew I'd get enough new understanding out of a rewatch (or reading the original novels) that it wasn't such a bad feeling.

>Spice and Wolf

I didn't like it mainly because I thought Holo was an annoying bitch. But even if someone likes Holo's personality, how is Spice and Wolf that good?

 No.54101

Watch the movie or OVAs after a bit. Usually are more about sending off the characters, because they can't match the intensity of the show. Get a couple of possible new shows lined up to see if one is good enough to continue with.
