I ended up stumbling upon this while looking for some works with Skeleton protagonists (Overlord didn't quite scratch the itch for me). I read a few chapters, and it seems somewhat interesting so far. Here's a summary:
>A dungeon belonging to a succubus queen is raided. She and all her servants are cut down, including a weak skeleton warrior with no notable achievements to his name. The skeleton soldier wakes up twenty years previously, on the day a necromancer first raised him from his grave, followed by mysterious textboxes only he seems able to see. After he watches her cut down by bandits and is killed again, he learns he has gained the ability to grow in strength by experience: specifically, by experiencing new things before a death. He uses his foreknowledge to defeat the assailants who otherwise outclassed him, and now given a second chance at (un)life, he decides to continue on until he can meet the succubus who he so cherished.

AYNIK was plotted out from the beginning with the end already in mind. This skele manhwa kind of meanders around with no clear purpose, but is reasonably entertaining as well as fairly grounded. MC turns into a skeleton somehow after dying to a dragon in a unexplored area in a dungeon. Unfortunately he changes into a ghoul later just to be able to speak with humans. It's not a isekai as the MC is already a part of the world. There's no vidya shit either like menus popping up.

Why have I been seeing more manga take this premise lately. This is probably going to be the copy paste type of shit after isekai isn't it. Hell you could even call it a subgenre. After all its basically useless nobody transforms into insert random monster here. Watch him try and communicate with humans and beat up other monsters.
I wouldn't mind these that much if they instead of focused on the humanity aspect. Focused more on the monster part. As in its stupid to think humans would actually trust something that could very easily kill them. Not to mention the romance should never happen and if it does happen it should be with the same species at least. Doesn't help that most of the MC are standard OP most of the time. There are quite a few pros to this subgenre of isekai but the way I see it is that they aren't taking advantages of them and just using it as an excuse to pump out more shitty isekai.
The main appeal of of past isekai to most of there time was focused on the characters exploring a vast world and coming across unknown wonders. That and the characters who can have multiple instances to develop if written by a competent writer. Modern isekai shares 0 of these qualities and is basically wish fulfillment.
If a few isekai went with this route then it would set them apart from their shitty contemporaries. What i'm saying is don't be SAO isekai be Digimon isekai. that isn't owned by Bandai
