/animu/ what are your thoughts on it? I though it was a pretty well animated show, with really good music.

AO was total shit but the remix of DAYS was fucking amazing.

 No.49648

I liked the mechs for the most part. I forgot most of the plot.

It's what Darling in the Franxx tried to rip off somewhat in terms of boy meets girl in robot.

I barely remember it. I remember liking how motherly she was and is probably a contributor to my mother fetish, but I disliked how she became ugly for awhile.

>my mother fetish,

I want to say something but I feel I shouldn't.

 No.49668

don't remember it at all, and I suppose that is indicative of its quality

 No.49669

I loved the soundtrack and the air surfing.

The air surfing mechs were really fucking sweet.

I loved the scene where Eureka is surfing and this theme plays.

They are having a rebuild of EVA style movie trilogy. Trailer for the second movie is going off the rails kinda like EVA 2.0 did.

Japs are as obsessed with ruining old series by making remakes as Americans. Maybe even more so.

 No.49704

I actually had the chance to see the First movie of the remake and boy was it just fucking shit! The first 30 minutes of how Renton's Dad saved the world was the best part of the whole film.

I liked it for the most part. Worth a watch. The ending was utter shit, though. Should have stuck with the one originally planned. I mean what the fuck, you just don't go and change a well thought out, theme-fitting and touching ending that properly concludes the story and actually answers questions to some asspull happy-go-lucky one just because the general audience might feel saddened by it. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Manga ends on a sadder note.

 No.49763

Polarizing anime. The first season was overall good, but had long stretches where the plot lost its way and meandered, and a bit of an asspull finale. I can see why some people would be turned off, or think it's just mediocre.

The second season was one of the worst anime I have ever seen, and sours the whole. Do not watch that piece of shit. It's fanfiction-tier at best.

I have not yet seen the movie(s), though I heard they were okay.

you mean AO?

Yes, you idiot.

Ao was cancer.

 No.49775

>>49772

I agree. I regard it as one of the most awful anime I have seen. It's definitely within the top 25 of 'shittiest anime.'

>So what if she already has two kids and a little nigglet that all look like they're from different fathers, are you going to MAN UP and raise them?

Fucking dropped.

 No.49811

>>49787

tbf fam, if the price of getting that sweet blond loli (putting the mom aside) was raising some war orphan nigglet and mysterymeat, I might be tempted too. You could always make some ayylmao babies afterwards anyways.

 No.49831

I've never seen an animu with so many unlikeable characters.

 No.49852

It's fantastic as a kids show. I watched it when I was younger and thought it was the greatest thing ever, but upon rewatching it I realized how much of it is just trying to teach kids lessons. It does it with subtlety to a degree and doesn't treat kids like idiots, but as an adult the lessons it tries to teach are incredibly obvious and aren't something that interests you. I love the ending, despite it being the biggest asspull ever just because of how happy it is. I still grin and smile like a fucking retard for the full 7 minutes of the song that plays during it whenever I listen to it.

about 20 episodes too long and the sequel is an abomination
