It's not GT Goku. It's a completely different one (since that Goku was completely removed from the world, and probably became a completely different kind of being as well, after being resurrected). And your interpretation of the ending is wrong. It was intentionally vague, but he was taken away to basically pay for everyone's reliance on the Dragon Balls all those years. He chose to do it, but out of gratitude to Shenlong, and only he knows all the details, though other characters seem to realize that something about him seems different, when they touch him. Then again, I seem to be the only person on the planet that actually watched GT (especially the original version). Other people seem to be too busy talking shit about it to actually watch it. It's never worse than decent. Baby was really good, and the ending was amazing and should make you cry if you're a faggot like me. I don't think there is a better way to end the series, actually. If nothing else, at least (re)watch the two last episodes (63 and 64). In Japanese, not some shitty version.
The Xeno timeline is different, though. It's exclusively a Heroes thing. It's a vague timeline, different from all the others, that many of the characters happen to come from. Goku: Xeno unlocked SSJG and fought against Beerus, but never actually trained with Whis, so he uses SSJ4 instead, but with a massive boost in power since he did the SSJG ritual. So, he's not GT Goku, but he's not Super Goku either. He's a little bit of both, plus he's a time cop, but at the same time, every version of Goku does exist in Heroes, and more. They can make as many Gokus as they want, and they do. Xeno seems to be more serious overall as well. I think he's the coolest current Goku, and SSJ4 is the coolest transformation (not just a shitty recolor).
