The first episode had a nostalgic vibe to it, but it also seemed kind of strange that all the characters are pretty boys that seem to have some sexual tension amongst themselves. So I looked it up and turns out this was a Shoujo manga from the 1980s, and now it all makes sense.
It could still end up being the best action anime this season. Or it could just become a mantrain with guns.

It's a fujoshi-aimed anime, so there's innuendo and whatnot but for the most part it's a crime drama about a guy that got pizzagate'd by mobsters. So far it has been pretty decent, and I don't see the "fanservice" going too much farther past the character designs and innuendo. Unfortunately you're right in that it will attract the worst kind of audience, and as is ANN and all the usual SJWeebs out there are shilling the hell out of this. I'd say if you're going to enjoy this show it would be best to avoid the fanbase, which is honestly what you should be doing for just about anime largely popular anime anyway.
