I remember dropping Jojo when I tried reading it around a decade ago because when I reached part 4 I could only find the duwang translation. Parts 1-3 were still phenominal of course. I eventually went back and read everything up to today after I found a better translation.

To be honest, Bamco made some stellar 3D models and the original four openings had fantastic ones too. I would be down for watching something like that, the only problem would probably be the lip syncing and the framerate.

I tried reading the manga of Part 1 long ago and couldn't like it at all. The anime actually gave me an appreciation for it. I might start reading at Part 5 now that I've seen all the anime though.

I keep trying to enjoy the anime but more time is spent explaining things than actually doing them. Each action has to have at least 5 seconds of redundant talking before and after, telling us what we clearly just saw. The flow is constantly halted, and so I don't get the thrill I would watching a real fight. This isn't a problem in the manga, because you can read at your own pace. David is faithful in all the wrong ways, keeping useless dialogue that actively detracts from the experience, yet cutting out entire scenes for the sake of episode length.

Here's how I'd rank all the Jojo parts.

2 > 1=3 > 7 > Everything else

I'm probably not even going to bother reading part 8.

But it IS a secondary ability, it's Epitaph. Epitaph lets him see the future and react in ways that would not be normally possible to a human being. Because of that, he can dodge a bullet coming right at him or know exactly who is about to enter his room - remember that the cleaning lady was abruptly going to find out his secret, but since he could foresee it he managed to clean everything up in record time. It's much easier to say that he foresees the future with Epitaph, becomes VERY fast stand user moving at incredible hihg speed for like 3 seconds and then he splices the rest of the world up so it feels like he never did it in the first place.

I would totally disagree. I would say the biggest waste is having the son of dio not having to deal with anything being related to the "messiah of villains". They also give the worst reason for the stand arrow existing and not having to deal with the aliens they introduced (well technically part 4). Also the first half of the story is entirely useless as they just do escort mission and then turn on the gang they were helping. Also the really weird premise of the first episode with reflect powers and goofy "I WANNA BE A GANGSTARR" just to throw that out the window.

Hopefully the anime will do to part 5 what it did to part 1 and 2 and make it all better in motion.
