You should be wary of abiding too much to one ideology over another, what's your ally today may be your enemy tomorrow and vice-versa. Never forget that the morality craze started with the (albeit subverted by the commies) right and traditionalists. The important thing, at least for our hobbies, is that the balance of power tips just enough to the right so that we can have our objects of desire but not as much as to get them banned for being indecent or trying to subvert the state or any such bullshit.

Yes, and?

No, not just banned, sometimes their posts would be deleted entirely and in a manner that leaves no trace, as in, the entire side of the conversation one was taking gets deleted so it either looks as if he's being delusional and talking to no one in particular or it didn't exist in the first place.
>If you're afraid your threads have a low poster count, why ban people at the drop of a hat in the first place?
Because, ultimately, /a/ isn't a place to discuss manga and anime as much as a place for the Mods to get their opinion validated. I can't fault him for wanting a clique, but I do think that the board has little to do with anime and manga as much as trying to appease certain tastes, unlike here, for the time being.
